Meaning of science
A science is a body of knowledge consisting of laws that govern a particular class of facts
From these closeness, generalizations are made which are called law.
As a science
The validity of laws and theories formulated can be tested by applying them to new situations or by weighing them against available evidence.
The pure science such as chemistry, physic and biology have many of these laws. Economics like other pure science is also a science because it has laws that governs its conduct. The economic observe the behaviour of man while engaged with his daily economic activities.
The data collected can be classified and as a basic for generalizations and the formation of economic principles.
While physical science deals with inanimate objects, economics deals with human behaviour, hence it's called social science.
